The term E-Mail Letter revers to a letter which is composed as a virtual e-mail, and is delivered as a real letter, to the receivers mailbox. It is a communication means between the virtual cyber- and the material or real world.

The printer or mail transfer agent prints the electronic mail on paper, it is put into an envelope and the mail delivery agent or postman delivers it to the receivers mailbox. Generally for a small fee. Small amounts and single E-Mail Letters may however be free of charge depending on the service provider.

The Swiss post offered this service until december 07. 2008 20:00 when it was shot down because of small useage and negative costumer feedback.
